Paengaroa properties are rarely a quick pull-in from the road. Long driveways, gravel access, gates left open for the tractor rather than a tow truck, and orchard rows that a standard car can't get near. We've picked up from all of it. If your unwanted car, van or ute is sitting behind a shed, under a tarp, or parked between the rows, we work out how to get a truck to it and if the vehicle can't be driven onto the deck, our trucks carry a winch for exactly that reason.
Most of what we collect from this area has been sitting a while: retired farm runabouts kept for spare parts, vehicles held "just in case" that never moved again, or a car written off after a knock on one of the back roads between orchard blocks. None of that is a problem. We quote on photos or a phone description of the vehicle's condition, agree a price over the phone, and bring the truck to you at a time that works around the season.
It's common for a Paengaroa property to have more than one vehicle needing to go at the same time an old ute alongside a car that's been parked up since a WOF lapsed, or a small cluster of farm vehicles at the back of a shed. We quote and collect the lot in a single visit rather than asking you to book separate pickups, which saves a full day of back-and-forth during a busy orchard season.
We also see a fair number of flood-affected and storm-damaged vehicles come through from this part of the Bay of Plenty, particularly after heavy rain events that leave low-lying paddocks waterlogged for days. Whether the damage is from weather, an accident, or simple age, the offer and the process stay the same.
